Ìý

91¹ÙÍø Chef for LifeÌý

Chef for Life is a three-week program for people interested in developing a career in the food and hospitality industry, including school leavers with little or no relevant work experience.Ìý

Participants will:Ìý

  • Learn basic food preparation and cookery skillsÌýÌý
  • Gain knowledge of food safety and hygiene practicesÌý
  • Develop time management, multi-tasking and communication skillsÌý
  • Build other work-ready skills to enhance their resumeÌý
  • Make connections with potential employersÌý

Ìý

Chef for Life participants will undertake the SSDIS01007 Basic Skills for the Food Industry Skill Set with HITsa Training and Employment, Chef for Life's Registered Training Organisation (RTO) partner.

Unlocking apprenticeship and career pathwaysÌý

Once the Chef for Life program is completed, 91¹ÙÍøsupports participants into an apprenticeship to help make their culinary dream a reality! Possible career pathways include cooking, catering, working front of house or kitchen operations.ÌýÌý

  • Australian citizen or permanent resident with work rights in AustraliaÌý
  • Live in South AustraliaÌý
  • Aged 16 or overÌý
  • Completed Year TenÌý
  • Not currently enrolled in schoolÌý
