91¹ÙÍø the company:

Our client specialises in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of fire safety products. Based in Toowoomba, they provide the support and mentorship necessary for your apprenticeship success. At times, you will have the opportunity to travel away from home for 1-2 weeks each month, working across a range of environments, including hospitals, aged care facilities, mining sites, industrial estates, and power stations. Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of cabling systems for fire alarms, security, and communication systems.
  • Work alongside senior technicians to gain hands-on experience in cabling and network setups.
  • Run and terminate cables, including fibre optic and copper cables, in accordance with safety and industry standards.
  • Follow blueprints and technical diagrams to route and secure cables within buildings.
  • Comply with safety protocols and industry regulations.

Requirements:

  • Entry-level apprenticeship, but background in construction, plumbing, or mechanical trades is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle physical tasks like lifting, bending, and working in various positions.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and willingness to learn technical skills.
  • Strong commitment to following workplace health and safety protocols. Construction White Card required; valid driver's license preferred.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and compliance with industry standards.
