Are you a motivated individual looking to kickstart your career in painting and decorating? 91¹ÙÍøis seeking a driven Apprentice Painter Decorator to join our dynamic team, working alongside experienced professionals on both residential and commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and develop skills while gaining a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.

Join a team that prides itself on high-quality finishes and attention to detail. Work on a variety of projects, learning the ins and outs of surface preparation, paint application, and decorative techniques while contributing to the transformation of spaces.

91¹ÙÍø the role:

This entry-level role offers hands-on training in painting, wallpapering, and other finishes. You'll assist in preparing surfaces, applying paints, and mastering advanced techniques. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing surfaces by removing old paint, filling holes, and washing walls
  • Applying primers, undercoats, and finishing coats using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment
  • Keeping a clean work environment, including cleaning tools and equipment
  • Assisting in the selection and ordering of painting materials
  • Working safely with ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment
  • Learning advanced techniques, including decorative finishes and textures

What we're looking for:

  • Physically fit and attentive to detail
  • Reliable transport and licence, or the ability to get to Nerangba early in the morning for travel to site
  • Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability
  • Willingness to learn and retain information
  • Ability to work well within a team and alongside other trades
  • Any prior painting and decorating experience is highly regarded
