Lowes Glass and Aluminium are currently looking for a new starter to join our team as a glazing apprentice. The opportunity is for newcomers to the trade or those that have already begun their trade and may be looking for a fresh at new employer.
Working with qualified tradespeople, the successful applicant will receive ongoing mentoring and support to complete their certificate.
Duties will involve:Ìý
- Use, handle and store glass and glazing products and consumables.
- Glaze and re-glaze residential & commercial windows and doors.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install metal frames, insect & security screens, shower screens etc.
- Assess glass and glazing requirements.
- Install residential & commercial windows and doors.
- Prepare and install mirrors and glass splashbacks.
- Carry out maintenance work on domestic and commercial properties.
The successful candidate will:
- Be very safety conscious and methodical in their approach to work.
- Be a confident communicator.
- Motivated with good problem-solving skills.
- Be trustworthy and reliable.
- Be willing to follow instructions
- Car and licence is preferred
