Our kitchen works at a fast pace and work schedules will include weekends.Ìý

You will need to be passionate about food, career driven, a team player and be committed to completingÌýyour Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.

Training for an apprentice cook covers basic culinary skills, knife skills, knowledge of ingredients, use of commercial equipment and kitchen procedures.Ìý

Key responsibilities

  • Working in a Professional Environment with like mind individuals for the purpose of producing high quality meals both in the A la Carte Restaurant and C&E as directed by supervisors/Sous Chef/Exec Chef.
  • Assisting the chef in the preparation and cooking of meals.Ìý
  • Operating commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves.Ìý
  • To learn procedures and dutiesÌýfor in food preparation, portion control, quality control, waste control and product preparation techniques.
  • Kitchen cleaning, such as dish washing and equipment cleaning, sanitation.Ìý
  • Assists in other areas of food preparation and storage.Ìý
  • Your hard work and dedication will be well rewarded with a competitive hourly rate.
  • You will need to be available to work either Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner, pending business requirements.
  • Maintaining a clean organised work area.
  • Assist with daily ordering
